A resin filling (also called a composite filling) is a type of dental restoration used to repair a tooth that has been damaged by decay, cracks, or fractures. Instead of using traditional silver-colored amalgam, resin fillings are made from a tooth-colored composite material (a mixture of plastic and fine glass particles).
